The number of injecting drug use cases grew from 287 in 1985 to 2,212 in 2001. The number of coagulation disorder and receipt of blood/blood component cases grew from 66 in 1985 to 287 in 2001, and the number of undetermined cases grew from 52 in 1985 to 4,606 in 2001. *Changes in reporting procedures in 1993 led to an increase in the number of cases reported without information about the exposure category.
