Responding to Behavioral Health Needs for Families in Home Visiting through Systems Integration

This webinar is the second in a series of three focusing on systems integration and collaboration for early childhood systems. Guest speaker Dr. Paula Zeanah, Director of Infant Mental Health and Clinical Director for Louisiana’s Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visitation Program discussed Louisiana’s Infant Mental Health Consultation Augmentation program, its goals, challenges, opportunities and approaches to competency building for infant mental health programs. Joining Dr. Zeanah were Mary Mackrain, Infant Mental Health Mentor for the Michigan Department of Community Health Mental Health Services to Children and Families, who discussed the challenges and solutions to strengthening a behavioral health state system; and Therese Ahlers, Resource Specialist (Project LAUNCH) for ZERO TO THREE National Center for Infants, Toddlers and Families who shared examples of integrating behavioral health services and support systems to strengthen home visiting services.
