Guidelines for Adolescent Nutrition Services (not a U.S. Government Web Site), a comprehensive overview of nutrition issues of teens published by an MCH Training Program grantee, the Leadership Education and Training (LET) Program in Maternal and Child Nutrition. Some of the topics discussed in the book include: physical and psychosocial development, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, eating disorders, sports nutrition and children with special health care needs. Guidelines for Adolescent Nutrition Services is a collaborative effort by registered dietitians from a variety of MCH training programs including Leadership Education in Adolescent Health, Pediatric Pulmonary Centers, Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Nutrition Training programs. This book was developed through funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau and is available free of charge. Nutrition and the Pregnant Adolescent: A Practical Reference Guide (not a U.S. Government Web site) is also on-line at the LET Web site.
