Project Description

Aim 1: By 2020, increase to 30 percent the proportion of EMS agencies that have a designated individual responsible for the coordination of pediatric emergency care. Aim 2: By 2020, increase to 30 percent the proportion of EMS agencies that evaluate EMS practitioners' pediatric skills at least once per year. Aim 3: By 2021, increase to 80 percent the proportion of EMS agencies that collect and submit uniform data to the National EMS Information System. Aim 4: By 2022, increase by 10 points from 2016 baseline the average National Pediatric Readiness Assessment (NPRA) score of the state/jurisdiction’s hospital emergency departments. Aim 5: By 2022, engage in at least one QI collaborative designed to improve pediatric outcomes. This is objective number 7 in the HRSA-18-063 NOFO.

Many children who failed initial hearing screening failed to return for follow up screening. This project aims to increase the follow up rate for follow up screening after a child has failed an initial screening.
