Product Description

University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health Maternal and Child Health Program has developed a new leadership initiative involving a series of four one-day workshops. Leadership Pathways is an experiential leadership development program developed by the UIC Maternal and Child health Program. This program is designed to uncover, strengthen, and build upon your natural strengths as a leader. The program includes four one-day workshops over the course of seven months. A variety of experiences, including interactive exercises, lively discussions, and ongoing feedback will be used to support you as you discover what makes you compelling, effective, and influential! The program is designed for individuals who want to have a powerful, positive, and lasting impact in their agency, organization, and /or community. Over the course of the program, you will learn new skills for working effectively with others, for developing improvement strategies for workplaces, and for working with communities building meaningful relationships and coalitions for local/global change. UIC has developed a brochure describing the initiative and the workshops which can be found at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/mch/includes/documents/leadership_pathways_brochure.pdf. UIC also sponsors annual Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conferences. The keynote address and plenary sessions from the 2006 MCH Leadership Conference as well as past years conferences are archived and available at: http://www.uic.edu/sph/mch/ce/mch_leadership/.
