Our division supports and educates leaders in maternal and child health (MCH). We provide leadership for state- and community-level programs to support the development of the MCH workforce.
Key accomplishments
- In FY 2021, we awarded over 225 grants totaling over $60 million.
- In FY 2021, our MCH training programs trained:
- 2,803 long-term trainees
- 10,344 medium-term trainees
- 41,596 short-term trainees
- More than 384,426 continuing education participants
- In FY 2021, 89% of MCH training program graduates demonstrated leadership within the clinical, advocacy, academic, research, public health, public policy, or governmental realms.
- 90% of former Healthy Tomorrows grantees have sustained their projects five or more years after our funding ended.
- There are Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Programs in 50 states and jurisdictions. In FY 2022, pediatric providers who contacted the pediatric mental health care team in their state or jurisdiction served approximately 27,000 children and adolescents.
